The School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Potter stopped by the shop this week.  Harry Potter that is.  I had a custom request from a lovely customer for a Harry Potter set including Hagrid, Snape, Voldemort, McGonagall, Dumbledore, Hermoine, Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy.  I just love how they turned out so they are now apart of the Knottingwood family

Raggedy Ann and Andy also stopped by. 

I have quite a few project ideas on the table and in my head.  Each weekend I've been taking time to create new items to keep the shop fresh.  M-F is dedicated to custom orders.  I like the new work schedule as it gives me a chance to get creative and keep me out of a rut.

The husband and I are enjoying a nice holiday weekend hope you are too!  Oh and I made my first loaf of bread in the bread maker this week.  Came out fab!  I'll share some soon!

The Samurai King

Happy Wednesday!  It's rainy here in NJ.  I like rainy days when I have no where to go.  Just spend the day painting and sipping green tea.

A few weeks back I painted Ito a Geshia Kokeshi doll a lovely customer contacted me with interest in her but also a male counterpart.  We'll she was in luck!  I had been secretly plotting to paint a Samurai King.  With her interest I got to work.  I really love this new form of doll to paint so watch for more to come.  Each design will be produced in limited number and then retired.  Numbered and signed by me.  Maybe a certificate of authenticity too!  Now I present to you The Samurai King.....

He is approx 4 1/2" High.  

Head is movable so you can "pose" him

FALL?

One of the things I love about living in NJ or the east coast in general is the change of seasons.  My favorite time of year is the Fall.  The smell of burning leaves, that nip in the air and of course all the beautiful colors the trees start to turn.  As soon as September hits and football season starts I get giddy.

Lately I've had fall on the brain.  I love summer but fall...nothing beats it.  With that said lately I've been brainstorming which leads to painting, which leads to new cute stuff in the shop.  I have a TON of ideas allot surrounding Halloween.  Here is what I've been working on and are now available......

Sizing Guide

I thought I would do a quick post on the sizing difference for my dolls.  It's often hard to imagine in your mind the difference between a 3 1/2" doll compared to a 2" doll.  So I give you the sizing guide.......

Introducing.....

Hello friends!

I'm so busy I can hardly take a minute to breathe.  I have a goal of  blogging more but with so many orders (thank you brides!) it's hard to find the time.  Even as I type now I should be painting but a girl needs a break!  Can you believe I'm still finishing orders for June!  Yikes.  I will have the last of June done tomorrow.  Luckily it's just the tiny details to finish, photo shoot for the brides to be.  I cross my fingers they like them and off they go in the mail.

On another note in between painting customs I slipped in 2 new toppers!  One is for the semi customs/ready to ship that I want to start offering and the other is a cute non little people type.  Without further ado......
