Custom Cuteness

Hello Dear Reader,

I was recently commissioned to created a wedding cake topper for a lovely couple who's groom is a huge Green Lantern fan.  I just finished them and love how they turned out. I'm happy to reports so did my clients. The groom didn't want the mask but his glasses.  If you are interested I can make him with his green mask instead.

If you love Green Lantern I have him listed by himself here

I usually have several project in the works while working on orders.  Keeps the creative juices going.  I finished Super Mario Bros. Luigi and Daisy over the weekend.  Perfect for a retro 80's party or if you just like the game.  Available here

Enjoy your Wed!

Matinee Sunday...

Hello dear reader.  Ready for matinee Sunday?  Is there a movie you love that anytime it's on tv no matter where it is in the movie you stop and watch?

For me its While you were sleeping  It was on last night and I had to stop and watch.

Staring.....

Lucy's life consists of constant lonliness that is until she saves Peter's life. Now she is a part of his family, and with a strong heart and fate on her side, others begin to realize what a terrific person she is, especially Jack, Peter's brother. An extraordinarily true-to-life sequence of events begin to take place as Lucy and Jack become closer and learn more about each other and themselves than one would ever expect from such coincidental, yet believable events

For me this is also a nice movie to watch around the holidays.  It's not a traditional holiday movie but the events do revolve around Christmas and New Years.

A cute romantic comedy anyone would enjoy.  Check it out!

Secret Superhero and Arcade Princesses

Wow 2 posts in 1 day.  I just wanted to share a custom I just finished for a lovely couple in South Africa.

Superman and Princess Peach from Super Mario Bros.  I think they came out so adorable.  I'm currently working on Luigi for another customer. I may have to throw a Mario and Princess Daisy in the mix to list in the shop.  I may tweak Miss Peach.  I think she need a little more detail.

Lois and Superman are now in the Shop

Happy Thursday,

All things NJ

Hello readers,

Its a beautiful 50ish here in NJ.  A nice change from all the snow and cold.  Most of the snow has melted and hopefully spring is on it's way.  I'm looking forward to sprucing up the front of my house with pretty flowers and new bushes.

I wanted to share a site I just found cruising the web.  NJ Monthly  Chock full of all things Jersey.  It's a nice site to check out if you plan on visiting or even if you are a native Jersey girl like me.

I like the restaurant links and reviews.  I know NJ gets a bad rap but check it out you'll be surprised!

Sunday Matinee.... Day late

Hello readers.  I'm a day late on my Sunday Matinee post my appologies. Today we have.......

Meet Me in St Louis
(1944)

Staring.....

A delightful, classic, nostalgic, poignant, and romanticized musical film - and one of the greatest musicals ever made.

It tells the story of a turn-of-the-century family in suburban, midwestern St. Louis of 1903, who live in a stylish Edwardian home at 5135 Kensington Avenue.

The city, and the well-to-do Smith family (with four beautiful daughters), is on the verge of hosting (and celebrating) the arrival of the spectacular 1904 World's Fair.

However, the family's head of the house is beckoned to New York due to a job promotion - an uprooting move that threatens to indelibly change the lives of the family members forever.  Synopsis courtesy of Filmsite.org

Do check this one out.  I stop to watch it everytime it's on tv.  I watched it on Saturday via Netflix

XO (Happy Valentines day)

Sunday Matinee

Happy Sunday dear readers.  I 'm starting a feature on my blog called Sunday Matinee.  I will be featuring a movie a week that I've currently watched.  This week I present to you.......

On the Water Front
(1954)

Staring.....

Terry Malloy dreams about being a prize fighter, while tending his pigeons and running errands at the docks for Johnny Friendly, the corrupt boss of the dockers union. Terry witnesses a murder by two of Johnny's thugs, and later meets the dead man's sister and feels responsible for his death. She introduces him to Father Barry, who tries to force him to provide information for the courts that will smash the dock racketeers
